Vehicle acoustics

Our acoustic simulations in the automotive field have taken a further step toward reality. In recent years automobile models were completed using Finite Element Models for audible low frequencies and Raytracing models for high frequency bandwidths, we have now additionally included detailed models of the door systems.

The mechanical properties of the carrier plates of the doors, which are used for the mounting of speakers, have a strong influence on the reflection of sound (as can been seen in the displayed image). The detailed models will now be further integrated into the automobile models.
