Rolling mill process simulation

In this research project, particularly efficient methods were developed to calculate the effects of rolling and especially straightening processes on metal sheets.

With the developed methods, optimal roll configurations and settings of the rolls in stretching and bending-straightening processes could be found efficiently.

As a result, the rolling process was optimized with respect to various parameters such as strip flatness, coilset, rolling plate, degree of stretching, etc.
