Detailed engineering
Detailed engineering is usually performed after the initial analysis (analytical, FEM, CFD) and already includes relevant production information. This means that chamfers, curvatures, draft angles etc. are now integrated into the CAD model.
Moreover, all joining elements are now modeled in order to enable a complete view of the design and to allow verification analyses. Finally, drawings are deduced by the 3D CAD system and a parts list is produced.
