Railway Engineering

We are heavily involved in projects within the field of traffic engineering, with an emphasis on projects connected to railroad engineering. We have completed many railway projects dealing with stiffness and strength analysis of load-bearing structures up to and including topology and sizing optimizations. A special emphasis is laid on fatigue analysis where we employ specialized software tools for quick and reliable predictions. On the fluid mechanics side of railroad design and construction, we simulate the external aerodynamic properties of engines and railcars as well as internal aspects such as climate control or the spreading of smoke and fire.
