Dynamic behavior of structures
For structures subjected to dynamic loading or excitation it is often of great interest to know their vibration behavior. The eigenfrequencies of structures, which depend on the stiffness and mass distribution, can be predicted with high accuracy by means of the Finite Element Method.
The transient dynamic response of structures due to loads changing with time can also be calculated, often requiring knowledge of the damping features of the structure and the used material, respectively. Subsequently, vibration factors can be calculated and a comfort analysis can be carried out.
