Concept design

The concept design is carried out at the initial design phase of an assembly or a part. Details such as chamfers, curvatures or draft angles are not yet modeled.

Furthermore, connecting elements such as bolts or rivets are not included in a concept design. This means that the design contains all relevant parts or structures which are necessary for a FE analysis. This allows a transfer of the geometry data to the simulation software without extensive data preparation.
