The content of this project was the static and dynamic analysis of storage and retrieval machines (SRM) for high-bay warehouses.
In a first step the existing stacker cranes were analyzed.
A precise calculation of the stresses (tensions) in the stacker crane (mast, chassis, lifting carriage, …), and the determination of the vibration behavior to assess the dynamics of the system, were carried out.
Subsequently, product-specific characteristic curves were calculated, with which a fast and convincing design is possible.
At present, the SRMs are being further developed and optimized in regard to greater overall heights and even higher dynamics (travel speeds and accelerations) compared to the previous storage and retrieval systems.
As the project is still ongoing, further results cannot be presented.
